Story
About the work
The skeleton of a bird of prey stands upright, hooked beak at the top, its wings stripped to the bone yet ending in great black flight feathers. Two loose wing bones float at the top and bottom of the sheet, as on an anatomical plate. Graphite and charcoal sit over a cloudy sepia wash that ages the deckle-edged paper and gives the drawing the look of an old document.
