Story
About the work
A domed ceramic form, like a shell bristling with dozens of gold-glazed conical spikes, opens onto a smooth milky-white face. An inscription in Tengwar, Tolkien's Elvish script, runs around it in a ring. The piece's character lies in the contrast between the spiky armour and that calm, lettered surface.
