Story
About the work
A small round box in crackled white, veined with smoke, closes with a lid topped by a bird with outstretched wings, each feather incised into the clay. The bird's matte black, from the raku smoking, sets off the pale body and its red-tinged rims. Opened, the box reveals a glossy glazed interior.
