Story

About the work

A jet of water breaks apart in mid-air on a blue-grey ground: a liquid tongue stretches from left to right, branches into splashes and breaks off into round drops. Coloured pencil renders the water's transparency with layered blues and fine white and lilac highlights. The same subject as Night Splash, handled here on toned paper.
