Story
About the work
A lion in profile, its mane lifted by an unseen wind, painted in warm ochres and creams over a smoky grey and black poured ground. Flakes of gold leaf and a few drips surround the head, and a violet sheen crosses the chest. In the middle of all this movement, the gaze stays calm, almost noble.
“Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.”
