About the work
Glossy red lips bite down on a brilliant-cut diamond in its prong setting, every crease and highlight rendered with photographic precision. First painted in 2014 on an airbrushed rainbow burst, the canvas was reworked in 2019 at the client’s request, with a cream ground and a border of torn gold leaf. It is in a private collection.
